Suppose you plan on one of your characters to be a psychic or a priest... do you ask for the privilege before you actually create the character or after?

Good question...
The character creation itself severely limits one's psychic powers when they start. Alec as a 100-point character...wimpy. That's all I can say. So, your request to be a psychic or a priest should probably come before your character creation...that way you're not doing a bunch of work and then having it not be of use.
The reason for applying for those positions is twofold (geez, I sound like someone important): First, we want to make sure people who play psychics or priests are actually capable of playing them. It's not easy to play a character who is unique in ways not common to man. And it's much more difficult to play within the game's boundaries. Second, it's to limit the number of psychics and priests on the board. We don't want the entire Resistance network composed of only psychics or the whole World Government only priests.
So, when/if you apply for one of those characters, tell us why you want to have one (besides the uber-coolness) and how you'd handle your character's speciality. Also, please do it over email (earth3006mods@yahoo.com) so the whole thing is private. You don't want people chiming in on your request thread, "Hey, yeah...me too!"
Hope that helps!
