The Titles of earth3006
This is a short description of how the titles on the earth3006 forum will function. Post count will play an important role in the RPGs and out. When you sign up, you will need to follow the Character Creation guidelines found in the Character Creation board. Once you have developed your character to those specifications, you should either email the character to the mods or post it in the Character Creation thread (we recommend the latter). With your character, you should also post what side you wish to be a member of: The Resistance or The World Government. When you choose, the mods will raise your character to that position.

Here is a list of titles a member can possess:
Head Council
Council Member
Praetorian Guard
---
Resistance Member
Psychic
Government Agent
Priest of the New World Order
Commoner
Certain titles require a granting of power by the Head Council:
Head Council: The Head Council is the administrator for the entire board. He has final say in all matters and controls pretty much everything. The administrator maintains the board and chooses the Council Members to aid him.
Council Member: The Council Members are the team of moderators the Head Council has chosen to help him run the board. They are to be respected and feared by everyone equally. They answer to the Head Council alone, and their decisions are final unless overruled by him.
Praetorian Guard: In some cases a particular board becomes so large that the Head Council and Council Members feel they need to call in additional help just for that board. Called the Praetorian in reference to the ancient Roman guard, these members are practically Council Members…except their rule extends to only one board.
These following titles apply to your character's status and occupation:
Resistance Member: A Resistance Member is a dedicated soul who would give his life to destroy the World Government. Resistance Members scrounge along with limited tech and covert operations. They cannot afford to do things openly. Resistance Members are usually either soldiers or techies. Both are crucial jobs for the survival of the Resistance.
Psychic: A Psychic is a quasi-human being with advanced mental capacities. Psychics are distrustful of all non-psychics, and work with them only out of necessity. Psychics tend to disdain physical combat, preferring their extensive mental powers. Psychic operate a high level of technological equipment, produced by the advanced minds of the psi-engineers.
Government Agent: A Government Agent is a loyal follower of the creed of the World Government. Government Agents typically espouse the high ideals of their cause and the wonders of the World Government at every opportunity, provided they are not undercover. Government Agents possess the latest technology in everything, and many possess high-level weapons training by the best soldiers in the world.
Priests of New World Order: A Priest is a holy man, swore to uphold the doctrines of the Order. Priests possess mystical powers, blessings on their just cause. Priests look down upon physical combat, trusting in the Creed and the righteous of their cause to protect them. They use a substantial degree of technology to enforce their ideals.
Recruits: Every new member starts as a Recruit. With no experience and little knowledge of the world, Recruits have not yet chosen their side in the broiling conflict. As soon as they do (and their character is approved), the enlistment begins and a Recruit joins the ranks of his chosen side.

Because post count roughly symbolizes the amount of time spent on the board, each member is asked to respect those who would be in a position to know more than they. While obedience to a higher-posting member is certainly not required (or suggested), deference is. You in no way have to do what a high-post person asks, but I’d think very carefully before dismissing one of their plans out of hand. Usually a person with 150+ posts has seen a good deal of RPGing on the forum and knows how to handle it.
